Summary of Job Duties We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team at the UAMS Springdale Schmieding Clinic. The APRN will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive outpatient care to adolescents, adults, and older adults. This role emphasizes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, and care coordination for patients with acute and chronic health needs. This position is in the NWA Springdale Schmieding clinic.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in nursing – AGPCNP-BC or FNP-BC

Current licensure as an APRN in the state of Arkansas

Two (2) years' RN experience

One (1) year of AGPCNP-BC or FNP-BC experience

Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in Nursing with certification as AGPCNP-BC or FNP-BC

Two (2) years of AGPCNP-BC or FNP-BC experience

Bilingual – English/Spanish

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic conditions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration

Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation

Commitment to delivering patient-centered care and promoting health equity

Experience in outpatient or primary care settings

Key Responsibilities

Augmentation - extend patient care and administrative services of UAMS physicians

Consummate Professional - provide comprehensive health assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and management in collaboration with physicians

Collaborator - work autonomously and with a care team to diagnose and manage patients, act as a health care resource and advocate

Coordination - coordinate multidisciplinary care and ensure timely care and appropriate consults

May perform other duties as assigned

Salary Commensurate with education and experience
