Job Title: Laboratory Technician II Location: Cleveland, OH 44111 - on W2 (without benefits) Duration: 12 months contract on W2 + possible extension or conversion
Job Description
Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished product samples to verify conformity to specifications.
Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
Record test results on batch tickets and in the company’s computer operating system.
Organize and maintain quality records and retain production/intermediate batches and raw material champions.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests.
Set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
Maintain the housekeeping of the working place.
Respect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy.
Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
Perform 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum of two-year technical degree preferred (Quality, Engineering, or other sciences) or three or more years of related experience and/or training.
Two (2) years analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
