This is a general posting to create a pool of applicants for adjunct faculty openings throughout the 2025-2026 academic year. Position Summary The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry is accepting expressions of interest for overload faculty or adjunct faculty to teach various courses during fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters. Courses include but are not limited to: General Chemistry I and II. Chemistry of the Elements. Organic Chemistry I, II, and III. Science of Contemporary Issues I, II, and III. Environmental Chemistry Series Atmospheric Chemistry Aquatic Chemistry Biochemistry series More information about the courses can be found in the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes. https://www.du.edu/registrar/course/scheduleofclasses.html Statements of interest for winter and spring quarters should be submitted at least one month prior to the start of the quarter. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field Preferred Qualifications Prior experience teaching a similar course at the University of Denver Work Schedule While the University's administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. Only applications submitted online will be accepted. Course Rate Adjunct faculty are compensated at the rate of $4,952 to $6,189 per course.
