Overview

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is inviting applications for 2 x Clinical Pharmacists within our Emergency Care team with an area base working across University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr. You will be responsible for delivering a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to patients accessing care within Emergency Care. The permanent base will be area wide with cross-site working at UHA and UHC. The Emergency Departments (ED) & Combined Assessment Units (CAU) use multiple ambulatory care pathways, rapid assessment, early senior clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary care. You will participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours rotas as required. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and/or a longer working day. Responsibilities

Deliver a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to patients within Emergency Care. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support clinical decision-making and patient care in ED/CAU settings. Work across University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr as required. Participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours rotas as required. Qualifications and Experience

Relevant hospital experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team. Preferred qualification in Clinical Pharmacy; staff development to support a prescribing certificate if not already held. UK driving licence/car ownership is essential. Desire to contribute to the transformation of Clinical Pharmacy Services within NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Hours and Conditions

37 hours per week. Working across sites; weekend/public holiday shifts and extended hours may be required. Other Information
