Position An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the inpatient rehabilitation team within Warrix Avenue, Irvine.

What You Will Do Warrix Avenue Rehabilitation service provides people living with complex mental health needs the opportunity to experience independent living ahead of obtaining/ returning to their own home environment. The service actively engages and interacts with community based services and resources within the persons chosen community location in order to optimise their recovery. The service supports people to consolidate current skills to cope with living independently as well as help them to develop new adaptive strategies to sustain their recovery and wellbeing. The overall aim of the mental health rehabilitation service is to empower people to manage their recovery and their symptoms in preparation for independent living with a view to reducing relapse and readmission to hospital.

As Band 5 Staff Nurse you will have responsibility for supporting the Senior Charge Nurse and clinical team at Warrix Avenue facility in Irvine and as part of the Warrix Outreach service. You will have a responsibility to support both inpatients and community patients clinically as the need arises.

Knowledge, Training and Experience Required to Do the Job

First level nursing qualification and current registration with the NMC, with evidence of continuing professional development.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills along with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work as part of a team.

Delivering person-centred care and evidence‑based interventions and promoting collaborative working within a multi‑disciplinary team and across multi‑agency services. Discharge planning, robust care planning, involvement of carers and an interest in developing therapeutic activities are essential to this role and applicants must be willing to undertake training to develop skills and competencies as required.

Hours 37 per week - (74 hrs a fortnight- 12 hr shifts)

UK Driving Licence / Car Ownership UK driving licence is essential to this role. A flexible approach to shift patterns is essential.
