Your Impact

In this flexible relief role, your contributions may include:

Conducting medical evaluations and triage for new arrivals and in-shelter animals Providing urgent care and stabilizing emergency cases Performing surgical and dental procedures as needed Collaborating on treatment plans with staff veterinarians and leadership Ensuring adherence to shelter medicine protocols and public health standards Supporting cruelty or neglect investigations through medical documentation Qualifications: To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited veterinary institution recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Active Florida Veterinarian License in good standing at the time of hire USDA Category I license , or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment Ability to obtain a Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Status:
