Job Title: Manufacturing Weld Engineer
Contract: 24+ months
Only USC or GCH
Job Description
Schedule: 40 hours/week, 1st shift (must flex to 3rd shift temporarily if needed); occasional overtime up to 10 hours
Education & Experience
Engineering degree with welding emphasis OR 5+ years of relevant welding experience Open to recent graduates with appropriate experience Top Must-Haves
Experience programming and troubleshooting robotic welding systems (e.g., Fanuc) in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of welding processes, quality, tooling, tool design, TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance), and facilities Ability to communicate effectively with wage employees, supervisors, managers, and engineers MIG welding experience Key Responsibilities
Investigate welding issues and perform root cause analysis Establish routings, pay standards, layouts, weld tooling, weldment costs, OMS, and control plans for new or revised operations Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements Work with PDM, SAP, Wplanner/MPM, OMS, and Creo for engineering tasks Design welding cell layouts to improve material flow and presentation Participate in annual factory capacity planning and productivity activities Assist in developing baseline data for new wage performance pay plans Seniority level
