Position Summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join our Carbon operations team in Danville, Kentucky. The engineer will manage and maintain our Environmental, Health and Safety programs with a focus on Process Safety Management and Risk Management Program related to propane storage and use in our carbon manufacturing processes. The role supports continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Essential Functions

Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) in compliance with OSHA PSM Standard (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA RMP Standard (40 CFR Part 68, Program Level 3). Lead and conduct Process Hazard Analysis for the site. Own and manage specification and document control processes to ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Lead and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities, ensuring all process changes are properly evaluated, documented, and communicated. Serve as subject matter expert on process safety and compliance requirements, providing guidance and training to cross-functional teams. Become an SME in process gas utilization for carbon manufacturing as it relates to safety and environmental compliance. Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, safety, and operations teams to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor regulatory updates and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and recommend necessary process adjustments. Support internal and external audits related to process safety and compliance programs. Maintain detailed records and reports on process safety performance and compliance status. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process safety, risk reduction, and operational excellence. Perform any other tasks properly assigned by site Leadership. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, process safety, or compliance roles within manufacturing or chemical processing environments. Strong knowledge of PSM standards and RMP requirements. Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical prints. Experience with specification management, document control, and MOC processes. Project management and team leadership abilities. Familiarity with relevant regulations (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA standards, etc.). Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, facilities support systems, and equipment. Preferred: Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, AS9100) and document control software. Soft Skills
