$29.00/hr - $33.00/hr We are seeking a versatile and hardworking
Pipe Layer/Laborer
to join our team. This hybrid role will focus on installing utility pipes (water, sewer, storm drains) while also supporting general labor tasks. You will play a critical role in ensuring project success by working alongside equipment operators and other crew members to complete tasks safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Responsibilities
Lay and install water, sewer, and storm drain pipes according to project specifications. Assist in preparing trenches, including bedding, grading, and backfilling. Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery required for pipe installation and general construction tasks. Perform physical labor tasks such as shoveling, raking, and compacting materials. Ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes using levels, lasers, and other tools. Assist with pipe rehabilitation methods, including CIPP lining, slip lining, and other techniques, as required. Follow company and OSHA safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors, equipment operators, and other crew members. Qualifications
Experience as a pipe layer, laborer, or in a similar role in heavy civil construction. Familiarity with utility work, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as grading equipment like lasers and levels. Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills
Experience with pipe rehabilitation methods, such as CIPP lining or slip lining. Knowledge of trench safety and excavation protocols. Ability to operate small construction equipment such as compactors or skid steers. Benefits
