Global Team Leader – Supply Chain Recruitment
We are seeking a skilled
Procurement Manager
with a strong background in
chemical manufacturing , ideally with experience in
polymer production , to join our team based near
Houston, Texas . This role will lead the sourcing strategy for
direct raw materials , focusing on cost efficiency, supplier performance, and long-term supply security.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement activities for
direct raw materials , with a focus on polymers, monomers, additives, and other critical chemical inputs.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business goals and support production needs.
Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure consistent quality, service, and value.
Lead
contract negotiations , including pricing, terms, and supply agreements, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
Partner closely with plant operations, planning, and quality teams to forecast demand and mitigate supply risks.
Monitor market trends, raw material cost drivers, and global supply dynamics to inform sourcing decisions.
Drive supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to sustainability and ESG goals through responsible sourcing strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum
5 years of procurement experience
in
chemical manufacturing , ideally with exposure to
polymers
or specialty chemicals.
Demonstrated success in
direct raw material sourcing , contract management, and supplier development.
Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
Knowledge of REACH, TSCA, and other relevant regulatory frameworks is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence across functions.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
Ability to work in a
hybrid model
(minimum 2 days/week onsite near Houston, TX).
