Overview

The OR Clinical Nurse is an experienced practitioner that works at Marian Medical Center in accordance with the facility's health care philosophy and demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care with the ability to practice independently at MMC and relevant entities. They are also a resource person and preceptor. The OR Clinical Nurse identifies and implements nursing interventions for patients, evaluates the results of those interventions, and supports the provision of high-quality patient care. The role requires the ability to work within a team-based model of patient-care delivery and to demonstrate both basic and specialty nursing skills. Knowledge of the nursing process and the ability to apply its principles are essential. Clear and effective written and oral communication in English, active listening, and the ability to react calmly in emergencies are required. Collaboration and leadership within the patient-care team are valued strengths. The OR Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality patient care and achieving results for the organization through others, using creative and innovative solutions. Conflict management and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

Work within a team-based model of patient-care delivery; demonstrate basic and specialty nursing skills. Apply the nursing process appropriately and effectively. Maintain clear and effective written and oral communication; demonstrate objective active listening. Remain calm and efficient in emergency situations; provide excellent interpersonal skills. Collaborate with and provide leadership to the patient-care team. Deliver quality patient care and achieve measurable results through others; utilize creative and innovative solutions. Utilize conflict management and problem-solving skills as part of daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

Current California Registered Nurse license One (1) year specialty experience required Current approved health care provider CPR/BLS certification (may be obtained within 30 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

CNOR preferred ACLS preferred

Pay Range

$54.72 - $81.65 /hour
