Overview
Registered Nurse at Marian Regional Medical Center is responsible for managing quality patient care through the nursing process, coordinating the plan of care with the health care team, and assuming a leadership role for unit personnel. The RN may be assigned additional duties as needed and is expected to complete unit competency assessments, annual safety reviews, CPR, and renewal of licensure by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. The role requires teamwork, proficiency in nursing skills, and the ability to participate in process improvement activities. Responsibilities
Manage quality patient care through the nursing process and coordinate plan of care with the health care team. Lead unit personnel and assist them with their responsibilities. Complete unit competency assessments, annual safety reviews, CPR, and licensure renewal via continuing education units as required by hospital policy. Demonstrate ability to work within a team model of patient-care delivery; apply nursing process principles; organize and prioritize work efficiently. Demonstrate clear, effective written and oral English skills and active listening; participate in process improvement activities; collaborate with the patient-care team; display professionalism and compassionate care. React calmly and efficiently in emergencies; work across departments to achieve results using creative and innovative solutions. Qualifications
Registered Nurse with 6 months to 1 year of work experience. Current California Registered Nurse license. Current approved health care provider CPR/BLS certification. Current ACLS or completion of ACLS course within 6 months of employment. Note: The location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. Where You’ll Work
