Summary Under the guidance of the supervisor, performs all diagnostic procedures with the knowledge of all pertinent and academic areas to produce consistent, high-quality exams. Works effectively with patients and physicians and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Prioritizes the patient and delivers high-quality work as a technologist. May perform necessary procedures on patients in all age groups. Essential Functions Perform cardiac and CT interventional procedures Assist the other technologists during procedures Ensure the proper exam is being administered to the patient; consult provider as needed Review images and studies for proper identification and quality Check patient history and obtain appropriate waivers and forms, if applicable Identify patient service requirements by establishing rapport with patients and others to understand service needs Provide educational in-services to staff, advanced practice nurses, and physician assistants Qualifications Education Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required Licenses and Credentials Radiologic Technologist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] - ARRT preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Various Issuers preferred Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - ARRT preferred Radiologic Technologist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Experience CT experience; will consider graduates of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program with required license and registration. 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Proficiency with information management subsystem software and CT imaging software Ability to use computers and enter data effectively Effective verbal communication Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems Physical Requirements Standing Frequently (34-66%) Walking Frequently (34-66%) Sitting Occasionally (3-33%) Lifting Frequently (34-66%) up to 35 lbs with assisted device Carrying Frequently (34-66%) 20-35 lbs Pushing/Pulling Occasionally (3-33%) Climbing Rarely Balancing Frequently (34-66%) Stooping Occasionally (3-33%) Kneeling Occasional (3-33%) Crouching Occasional (3-33%) Crawling Rarely Reaching Frequently (34-66%) Gross/Fine Manipulation Frequently (34-66%) Vision - Far/Near Constantly (67-100%) Talking/Hearing Constantly (67-100%) Work Details Remote Type: Onsite Work Location: 480 Lynnfield Street Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating Pay Range: $29.23 - $44.48/Hourly Grade: 5 EEO Statement North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
