Northview Animal Hospital in Albuquerque, NM is excited to add another veterinarian to our team. Our practice was established in 1997 and has been known as one of Albuquerque’s top veterinary hospitals. We are a three DVM practice; two have private-practice experience of over 40 years. We see a majority of small animal wellness or sick exams, with occasional exotic visits. We encourage veterinarians of all experience levels to apply. Our doctors are willing to provide individualized mentorship and share their knowledge from decades of experience. Our doctors are supported by a wonderful and experienced support staff, including one RVT, a tech/assistant team, and multiple customer service representatives. Everyone is supportive, cohesive, and values open and honest communication. Northview has many loyal and long-term clients, and we are always open to new clients. We are looking for someone ready for a challenge, ready to bring new ideas, and ready to form one-of-a-kind relationships with our compassionate clients. The landscape between the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande River provides opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and hot air ballooning. Essential Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end of life care. Maintain patients’ medical records. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures. Requirements / Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance. Benefits
