WSP in the U.S. We are looking for graduates to join our dynamic Geotechnics & Tunnelling teams who specialise in characterising ground conditions: identifying ground risk and producing low carbon designs to mitigate those risks. As a graduate, you’ll contribute to transformative projects across renewable energy, infrastructure, housing, marine, tunnelling, commercial developments, and healthcare, gaining hands-on experience throughout the entire project life cycle. There will be opportunities for site work and travel within the UK, Ireland, and occasionally overseas.

What you will do

Work in multidisciplinary teams within Geotechnics & Tunnelling on innovative projects.

Explore the requirements for Geotechnics & Engineering Geology and work with a broad range of clients, sectors and scales.

Take part in projects across ground risk assessment, ground modelling, foundation design and ground improvement techniques.

Assist in the design of foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and other geotechnical structures.

Witness ground investigation in the field and support design through data analysis and reporting.

Prepare geotechnical reports, risk assessments, drawings and design documentation.

Graduate Development Programme Our two-year Graduate Development programme is designed to support personal and professional development through an engaging blended learning experience. The programme includes core business and professional skills training, career development workshops and resources, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration and a breadth of on-the-job experience. We support chartership with professional bodies such as ICE, CGeol or IOM3 through training agreements.

What we are looking for you to demonstrate

You will have graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.

Reflects an interest in Geology, Engineering Geology and how these disciplines contribute to Civil engineering projects.

Demonstrates pride in their work, a desire to learn, and a collaborative approach.

Shows willingness to travel occasionally for site work in the UK.

Understands soil and rock mechanics and has enthusiasm for creativity and problem solving.

Communicates clearly and engages with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
