WSP in the U.S. WSP is an international leader in intelligent transport systems (ITS). As the urban population grows, developments in technology provide opportunities to transform transport networks. Our Intelligent Infrastructure team focuses on improving operational and safety performance of transportation networks, including human‑centred design, connectivity, cyber security, and zero emission vehicles (ZEVs). Responsibilities

Apply and integrate principles of human factors, ergonomics and behaviour change to transportation or infrastructure projects and policies. Undertake research design, execution and reporting, covering quantitative and qualitative methods. Identify and profile users, including behavioural insights, to inform design and project outcomes. Conduct Human Factors assessments (e.g., task analysis and risk analysis) to inform infrastructure schemes and operations. Support the Capability Lead with the preparation of client proposals. Teams and Areas

Human Centered Design:

Prioritises user safety and efficiency in infrastructure solutions; offers policy and project lifecycle support, including safety and cyber security, operations, and research. Policy Monitoring & Evaluation:

Supports transport clients with monitoring and evaluation to inform what works and why, across local and national transport policies. Tunnel Systems & Operations:

Delivers end‑to‑end tunnel asset capability and engineering across road, rail and utilities sectors. Systems & Infrastructure:

Delivers road network technology and infrastructure, shaping future traffic control strategies and testing new technologies. Lighting & Energy Solutions:

Covers lighting, electrical design and energy projects across public and private sectors; opportunities for professional development including relevant diplomas. Graduate Development Programme

Two‑year programme designed to develop you through core business and professional skills training, mentoring for professional registration, and on‑the‑job experience. You will work with internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative environment and be encouraged to pursue chartered status with professional bodies. What We will Be Looking For

You will have graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant subject (Bachelor’s or Master’s). You may start in April or September 2026. You’ll have a passion for engineering and consulting and an understanding of complex and safety‑critical systems. You’ll be motivated by the built environment, infrastructure and design systems, with enthusiasm for creativity and problem solving. If you don’t meet every criterion, you may still be considered if your qualifications align to other opportunities within the Graduate programme. What’s In It For You
