We are recruiting Graduates for our Communities Engineering teams, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. You will enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can apply your skills with a diverse range of clients and projects. Across the UK locations below, our communities teams provide local authorities with advice on transport, urban regeneration, flood risk, funding, and related infrastructure challenges. The training you receive combines public and private sector skills. We are recruiting for Graduates in the following services and locations: Communities – Gloucestershire (Bridge Engineering) Communities – Lincoln (Highways Engineering) Communities – Exeter (Highways and Bridge Engineering) Communities – Cardiff (Structures & Infrastructure) Communities – Norfolk (Highways and Infrastructure Engineering) What you will work on

Our Communities (Engineering) teams include multiple disciplines across different offices. Roles may involve inspecting, designing, and supervising bridge maintenance and replacement projects; highway scheme design and delivery; and structural/infrastructure engineering for local government clients. Projects may deliver improvements in transport, urban regeneration, and sustainable drainage, while supporting net zero and digital service delivery goals. Example team-specific responsibilities include: Gloucestershire (Bridge Engineering): manage an asset of over 1,500 structures; assist with inspection, design and supervision of bridge maintenance and replacement projects; support Gloucestershire County Council asset management and bridge improvement programmes. Lincoln (Highways Engineering): support delivery of highway schemes from concept to completion; assist with investigations, data analysis, scheme design, supervision of construction, and preparation of technical documents. Cardiff – RCT ‘Rhondda Cynon Taf’ (Structures & Civil Infrastructure): undertake inspections of infrastructure; support preliminary design calculations and optioneering/feasibility studies; develop practical solutions with senior colleagues. Exeter (Highways and Structures Engineering): assist with highways design and local authority projects; support delivery of bridge designs, inspections, and maintenance; work with multidisciplinary teams; prepare drawings and reports. Norfolk (Highways and Structures Engineering): contribute to highway improvements and structural maintenance schemes; participate in on-site inspections and evaluations; prepare documentation for decisions and project tracking. Graduate Development Programme

Two-year programme designed to support personal and professional development through blended learning, training, mentoring for chartership, networking opportunities, and on-the-job experience. We encourage chartered status with bodies such as ICE and IStructE and support through training agreements. What we will be looking for

You’ll have graduated with at least a 2:1 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject. To apply and progress, you will: Complete the application form in full and answer all questions; complete an online skill enabler assessment as part of the process. Be available to start in either April or September 2026. Demonstrate a passion for consulting and engineering, and an enthusiasm for the built environment. Show creativity and a drive to solve problems, and be prepared to share new ideas.
