Electrical Engineer III
to lead complex electrical design efforts for high-impact infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in
medium voltage (MV) substations ,
power distribution , and
mission-critical systems , including data centers and industrial process power. Responsibilities
Lead the design of MV substations, including equipment selection, layout, protection schemes, grounding, and cable routing. Develop power distribution systems with optimized efficiency, load calculations, cable sizing, switchgear selection, and protective devices. Spearhead electrical design for mission-critical data centers, focusing on redundancy, fault tolerance, and seamless operation. Design industrial process power systems with attention to power quality, surge protection, harmonics mitigation, and automation integration. Support system analysis, optimization, and deployment across multi-site infrastructure. Document designs and changes through physical/logical drawings, implementation plans, and test/failover plans. Implement and operate complex data center environments, including compute, storage, and network systems. Perform security updates and ensure compliance across hardware/software systems. Collaborate with OEMs and industry partners to prototype and deploy emerging technologies. Participate in design meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients. Travel to project sites as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of experience in electrical design; 6+ years preferred for complex infrastructure. Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred. Proficiency in electrical design tools (ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, IEC codes and standards. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to obtain a federal security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Preferred Certifications & Skills
Certified Energy Manager (CEM), CPQ, LC, CLEP LEED, DBIA, INCOSE certifications AutoCAD Inventor, AGI32 software experience SEL product training Experience with modular construction and LOD 300/400 Benefits
