to lead initiatives in process integration, automation, and manufacturing excellence. This role focuses on launching and optimizing production lines capable of producing millions of parts annually, with deep expertise in manufacturing processes such as
metal stamping, injection molding, blow molding, and automated assembly . The
Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
will report to the
Director, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
and will work onsite 5 days a week at our
HQ in Somerset, NJ . Salary and Benefits: Salary range: 85-150k USD Annual Bonus: Up to 15% (contingent upon a combination of company's and personal performance). Key Responsibilities
High-Volume Line Integration: Lead the end-to-end integration of new products into high-volume production lines, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and efficiency. Manufacturing Process Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of CNC machining, stamping, injection molding, and automated assembly to optimize production processes and reduce cycle times. Automation & System Design: Collaborate with automation teams to design, build, and implement robust automation systems including robotics, PLCs, and machine vision for high-throughput operations. Yield & Efficiency Optimization: Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce scrap, and improve yield across high-volume lines. Defect Analysis & Surface Engineering: Conduct root cause analysis on defects, particularly surface-related issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Quality, and Operations to ensure seamless product launches and process improvements. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and throughput maximization using Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies. Problem-Solving: Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production targets. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field). Minimum 5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environments. Proven experience integrating products into new production lines from concept to ramp-up. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including stamping, injection molding, blow molding, and automated assembly. Proficiency in SolidWorks for product and production line design. Expertise in automation systems including PLCs, robotics, and machine vision. Experience with surface defect analysis and in-process quality control. Proficiency in data analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action implementation. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and continuous improvement frameworks. Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills. Preferred Skills
Advanced SolidWorks capabilities in designing complex assemblies and production tooling Familiarity with manufacturing automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and machine vision systems. Formal Design of Experiments (DoE) training and experience Ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex manufacturing challenges. Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement frameworks. Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other data-driven decision-making techniques. Benefits
