We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor.
What you’ll be doing as a Flight Test Engineer
Work closely with engineering Integrated Product Teams and experimental pilots to establish and implement evaluation requirements into test plans covering aircraft performance, flying qualities, and systems flight testing.
Plan, track, and coordinate daily flight test activities to include preparing test cards, pre-flight briefings considering instrumentation, maintenance, and configuration change requirements.
Direct the execution of test flight from a telemetry room or participate in the aircraft as an aircrew member.
Update the Bell flight test reporting database, analyze flight data and prepare test reports.
Coordinate with appropriate engineering, and external groups in the planning and resolution of technical issues.
Skills You Bring To this Role
Ability to prioritize, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.
Ability to respond positively to change in a dynamic environment.
Experience in experimental test, evaluation, and risk management.
Experience with FAA and/or military certification processes.
Formal flight test training or courses at a recognized institution.
Strong understanding of aircraft systems and flight dynamics.
Private or commercial pilot license.
What You Need To Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
Ability to obtain an FAA Class III FAA Medical Certificate.
5+ years of related experience in experimental test, evaluation, and risk management
Articulate verbal and written communication.
Travel up to 20%
