Flight Test Engineer role at Bell focuses on safely executing development and certification test activities for novel civil and military programs. We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell MV-75 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) as part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program. The Flight Test Engineering team works to advance Bell’s position at the leading edge of innovative future product development. The flight test engineer role is an integral part of the test team that will: Work closely with engineering Integrated Product Teams and experimental pilots to establish and implement evaluation requirements into test plans covering aircraft performance, flying qualities, and systems flight testing. Plan, track, and coordinate daily flight test activities to include preparing test cards, pre-flight briefings considering instrumentation, maintenance, and configuration change requirements. Direct the execution of test flight from a telemetry room or participate in the aircraft as an aircrew member. Update the Bell flight test reporting database, analyze flight data and prepare test reports. Coordinate with appropriate engineering, and external groups in the planning and resolution of technical issues. Skills You Bring To This Role

We are looking for inquisitive, driven engineers with a passion to innovate who may possess the following: Ability to prioritize, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset. Ability to respond positively to change in a dynamic environment. Experience in experimental test, evaluation, and risk management. Experience with FAA and/or military certification processes. Formal flight test training or courses at a recognized institution. Strong understanding of aircraft systems and flight dynamics. Private or commercial pilot license. What You Need to be Successful

The Bell flight test engineering team is searching for engineering professionals with the following: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. Ability to obtain an FAA Class III FAA Medical Certificate. 5+ years of related experience in experimental test, evaluation, and risk management Articulate verbal and written communication.
