Overview

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Submarine Combat Systems Engineer. SEACORP has 2 full-time openings for System Engineers in Newport, RI and Middletown, RI. In these positions, the candidates will provide support in the development, review, and evaluation of requirements and requirement specifications applicable to submarine weapons and weapon control systems. Previous experience with Strike Systems/Payload Integration and/or Submarine Combat Systems is a plus. Responsibilities

Provide comments and/or recommended changes based on design changes, performance improvements, deficiency corrections, and new system capabilities. Generate requirements documents from high level capability statements, program roadmaps, stakeholder requirements, and concept documents. Address performance, hardware, software, interface, and design requirements promulgated in requirements documents or maintained in requirements databases. Apply creative thinking in problem solving, analyze data, and communicate findings using verbal and written communication skills. Please note that an Active Secret Security Clearance is required on the date of hire. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline. 6 or more years of relative Navy experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Experience:

Secret. Work Environment & Requirements

Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of less than 40 lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
