As a Project Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced team environment that focuses on solution assessment and project implementation while creating and maintaining happy customers. The Project Engineer works directly with customers on technology projects. The Project Engineer is responsible for high customer satisfaction and project completion according to the defined statement of work. Responsibilities and Duties
Project Delivery (80%) Technical Lead for assigned projects and project tasks on projects including: Microsoft Server Deployments and Migrations Active Directory implementation and Azure AD migrations Local Server and SaaS Backup Solutions Network switch and Firewall installation and configuration On premises to cloud server migrations Managed services implementations Maintained focus the project deliverables and the associated communication and documentation Manage tasks and sequence to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction Assist Solutions Architects and Engineers in solution and statement of work creation Maintain accurate and detailed activities records in the PSA (Autotask) Administration and Documentation (10%) Updating of Ticket and Task information including accurate tracking of time Documentation of project work to ensure support team has all relevant information for support and troubleshooting Personal Skill Development (10%) Maintain an ongoing plan for personal skill development in technical and leadership through a documented quarterly plan Update and record learning monthly Prerequisites: Minimum 4 years’ professional work experience required Understanding of TCP/IP and Windows networks Configuring and Administering of Windows & Azure Active Directory Experience with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 operating systems Experience with Microsoft Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 Ability to work independently and within a team environment Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills required Ability to work Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm with occasional night and weekend work Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Computer Science or technology related degree and/or equivalent experience CompTIA Net+ or equivalent certifications Microsoft Certified Professional Understanding and experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Azure Files, and SharePoint migrations Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls, network switches and wireless Behavioral Traits, Attitudes and Skills Required: Team player with a positive attitude Relationship builder Self-Confident Self-Motivated Ability to multi-task Sound decision-making ability Takes Initiative Strong organizational skills Strong problem-solving ability Effective time manager Professional All tasks will be conducted ethically, legally, and professionally Work environment and Travel: Hybrid work environment which includes onsite, remote office, and work from home Some travel may be required Physical Requirements: Be able to sit, stand, stoop Able to lift 40 lbs.
