Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Complete the design calculations and plan preparation for both new bridge, bridge rehabilitation, and retaining wall projects in alignment with applicable design standards and specifications
Perform in person site visits and inspections of existing bridges and culverts and prepare and submit required reports
Complete concept development and perform bridge sizing of proposed structures
Complete quantity computations, cost estimates, and special provisions required for structures projects
Complete bridge load ratings

Qualifications
BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
Previous internship experience in civil/structural engineering
Strong interest in structural engineering and transportation infrastructure
Familiarity with design standards and specifications (AASHTO, DOT guidelines) is a plus
Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar)
Proficiency with MS Office
EIT registration a plus
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Excellent communication skills
Valid driver’s license
