Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Location Florida (open to candidates currently based in the Northeast or West Coast who are open to travel or relocation)
Overview A leading interiors and façade contractor is seeking an experienced
Prefabrication / Cold-Form Metal Framing Lead
to oversee the installation and rigging of prefabricated cold-form metal systems.
This position suits an experienced tradesperson – ideally from a
drywall or carpentry background
– with extensive knowledge of
load-bearing metal framing, exterior sheathing systems, and prefabrication installation . Candidates from the external framing or steel industries with relevant rigging qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
Role Summary You’ll take ownership of
prefabricated framing installation , coordinating between the fabrication yard and site installation teams. The role demands both technical and leadership capability – ensuring structural accuracy, safety compliance, and the efficient delivery of prefabricated metal systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee installation of
cold-formed steel / metal prefabricated framing and sheathing systems
Manage and perform
rigging and lifting operations
in compliance with safety standards (must be qualified banksman / rigger)
Coordinate between prefabrication facility, logistics, and on-site erection teams
Read and interpret
structural and shop drawings
for load-bearing systems
Supervise framing crews or subcontractors, maintaining quality and efficiency
Conduct inspections, maintain quality documentation, and ensure tolerance compliance
Promote safe working practices and enforce rigging / lifting protocols
Liaise with engineers, project management, and site supervision to resolve technical challenges
Support continuous improvement and innovation in prefabrication and installation methods
Trade background:
Carpenter, Drywall Installer, or Metal Framer by trade
Proven experience in
cold-form metal framing
and
prefabrication installation
Hands‑on understanding of
load‑bearing metal construction
and structural assembly
Able to
read, interpret, and build to technical drawings
Strong understanding of
exterior framing and sheathing systems
Demonstrated leadership ability in supervising installation teams
Excellent safety awareness and compliance with lifting / rigging standards
Flexible with travel and able to work between prefabrication yard and active sites
Preferred Background
Experience within
off-site prefabrication, modular framing, or advanced framing systems
Knowledge of
load-bearing panel systems
and
structural cold-form metal applications
Exposure to
progressive framing practices
common on the Northeast or West Coast
Experience integrating framing with drywall, façade, or carpentry scopes

Prefabricated systems installed safely, on time, and within tolerance
No rigging or lifting incidents
Seamless coordination between fabrication, transport, and site installation
Strong build quality with minimal rework
Consistent communication and collaboration with design and site teams
Salary / Package
