Manufacturing Engineer II (H/F) – SAFRAN ELECTRICAL AND POWER USA LLC

The Manufacturing Engineer II will contribute to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that enable the production of high‑quality, cost‑effective aircraft components. Responsibilities
Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize existing processes and ensure the production of cost‑effective, quality products. Serve as the primary interface with external customers; analyze changes in customer specifications and flow them down to manufacturing. Interface with product engineering, manufacturing leadership and support teams to meet business unit goals; support standardization initiatives across business units. Coordinate with the engineering team to implement company engineering strategies; define material sorting and grouping to match the process sequence and aid manufacturing. Document sorting to match the process sequence; resolve problems related to the manufacturing process. Identify customer contract quality requirements and ensure implementation on all programs through quality plans, inspection and test plans. Capitalize projects using the “I see, I do” process; improve process layout to optimize product flow. Configure workstation design, layout and tooling to optimize operator performance; use video analysis to improve work methods and procedures. Support material review boards, corrective action boards and cost of quality as required; develop fixtures to implement Poka‑Yoke concepts or mistake‑proofed processes. Support new program introductions by providing standard cost hours data or any other cost analysis required; work with engineering and customers to propose engineering product design concepts and solutions that better support production requirements. Design optimum systems, procedures and work‑related plans to improve productivity; define optimum manufacturing process sequence according to product type; conduct time studies and analyze data to establish direct labor standards. Adhere to safe work practices and contribute to the evolution of the health, safety and environmental program and culture; regular, predictable attendance is required. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality processes. Advanced capability to design layouts and fixtures to aid manufacturing (AutoCAD). Basic knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies, Lean manufacturing principles and APQP tools. Advanced ability to read blueprints and schematics; root‑cause analysis and corrective action. Advanced knowledge of PFEMA and control plans. Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, innovative environment.
