Lead Thermal Process Engineer role at Jobs via Dice. The Lead Thermal Process Engineer is a key member of the technical team that helps current and future programs to achieve program milestones and meet assigned objectives. You will work both independently and with various teams to develop, mature, and implement thermal processes that support manufacturing of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) components for aircraft engines and other aerospace applications. Responsibilities
Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology: Serves as a technical specialist and provides consultation and guidance to product, material application, and design teams for the area of responsibility. Synthesizes and communicates results of research and development activities related to thermal processing and applications; prepares and presents technical data to internal and external customers. May provide support to business development activities. Process Development: Prioritizes and completes process engineering projects to achieve business objectives for technology and manufacturing process maturation and process risk reduction (D/PFMEA). Develops subject-matter expertise on process mechanisms and applies that learning to solve problems and develop/protect intellectual property (IP). Product Application: Applies creativity to develop thermal processes that meet customer and product requirements. Maintains focus on practical application of process to current and novel future program/product requirements. Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (ceramics/Composites) experience + minimum of 3 years (specific) experience). Preferred/Desired Characteristics
M.S. degree or Ph.D. Familiar with pressure vessels, vacuum furnaces, and other thermal equipment Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and lead projects Effective team building and project management skills Benefits and Employment Details
