UNC Hospitals Department of Audiology is seeking a full-time Clinical Audiologist to provide outpatient services primarily for the adult patient population across multiple locations, including: Orange County: UNC Hospitals Hearing & Voice Clinic at Carolina Crossing Chatham County: UNC Hospitals Audiology at Pittsboro Wake County: UNC Audiology Services at Cary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced audiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services in a busy ENT clinic setting. The role will focus on the assessment and management of hearing loss, including evaluation, fitting, and programming of hearing aids and cochlear implants. Key Responsibilities

Perform basic and advanced diagnostic audiologic evaluations across the lifespan Interpret and analyze test results to develop patient-centered treatment plans Counsel patients and families on hearing loss, its impact, and management strategies Manage the ongoing needs of hearing aid and cochlear implant users, including programming, troubleshooting, and follow-up care Conduct verification of hearing aid fittings using best-practice technology Administer comprehensive cochlear implant evaluations, including aided speech perception testing, and determine candidacy for implantable hearing technologies Counsel patients on implantable technology options, function, and realistic expectations Perform diagnostic testing for cochlear implant devices in both clinical and OR settings Program and manage all available implantable devices in the adult population Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD) required Current North Carolina Audiology license (or eligibility for licensure) required Minimum of one year of experience in an academic medical center working collaboratively with otolaryngologists and related professionals preferred Experience with student supervision and clinical teaching preferred This is a full-time (40 hours/week), daytime position. Strong collaborative communication skills and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes are essential. EEO Statement
