To provide rehabilitative services to adults with mental illness, in the form of instruction, support, and assistance for the purpose of promoting psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living skills. The practitioner works directly under the ARMHS Treatment Director and ARMHS Clinical Supervisor. The Mental Health Practitioner works with adults providing Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS). What is ARMHS?

Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) is a program that provides intensive rehabilitative services to individuals ages 18+ who have a mental health diagnosis. Reach’s ARMHS program provides services to individuals living in Dakota, Hennepin, and Ramsey Counties. Practitioners meet with individuals in their homes or communities to build basic living and social skills. Basic living and social skills are activities that instruct, assist, and support the individual in skill areas essential for every day, independent living. Qualified candidates will provide skills training in the individual’s home or community, be able to work both day and evenings, and work independently. Full time (40 hours) or part time (32 hours or under) options available. Responsibilities

Provide rehabilitative services to adults with mental illness, including instruction, support, and assistance to promote psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living skills. Work with adults in their homes or communities to build basic living and social skills. Meet with individuals in their homes or communities to deliver individual skills training. Collaborate with the ARMHS Treatment Director and ARMHS Clinical Supervisor. Qualifications & Skills

Candidates must meet state criteria for classification as a Mental Health Practitioner. Must have completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in Behavioral Sciences or related fields, and one of the following: At least 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with mental illness or a substance use disorder, or a traumatic brain injury or developmental disability; or Completed a practicum or internship that involved direct interaction with adult or child clients and was focused on behavioral sciences or related fields; or In the process of completing a practicum or internship as part of a formal undergraduate or graduate training program in social work, psychology, or counseling. Holds a master’s or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields. Ideal candidates are self-starters with good teaching skills, flexible and adaptable to changes, and have foundational skills in motivational interviewing. They must pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license in good standing, and maintain current auto insurance. Salary:
