Overview
The Project Manager at ACCO Engineered Systems is responsible for developing and maintaining a client base, managing HVAC/plumbing/process sales, and coordinating field labor needs for each project in collaboration with field leadership. The Project Manager represents the company with judgment and discretion and demonstrates a high level of commitment to the work and business. Responsibilities
The Project Manager is the single-source point of contact to ACCO and the customer. Perform all project management functions required to promote and finalize sales, including concept engineering, complete estimates, written proposals, meetings, and leading to successful job completion. Manage contracts across sales, estimating, procurement, and execution. Coordinate field labor and installation sequencing between the customer and ACCO’s field leadership. Coordinate and lead internal and external communications to ensure project alignment and timely execution. Utilize internal resources from all departments as needed to meet customer requirements and project scope. Position Requirements
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred). 5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of HVAC projects from $50,000 to $25+ million. Ability to operate independently and autonomously to meet goals set by supervision. Demonstrate integrity and experience/ability to develop new business. Strong interpersonal and project management abilities with excellent organizational skills to handle a high volume of issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Experience with Business Systems Software (e.g., JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet) is preferred. Financial & Operations
Forecasting, budgeting, and cost control within approved limits. Prepare letters, proposals, contracts, change orders, and procedures for business and legal protection. Billing with clear understanding of job costs. Relationships & Communication
Lead external client relations and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners. Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, Service) during project construction. Participate in studies or committees as directed to advance ACCO’s capabilities. Physical & Work Environment
Typical physical demands as described: lift up to 25 pounds occasionally; vision requirements; ability to talk/hear; stand, walk, sit; reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; valid Class C driver’s license; regular attendance. Hours & Travel
Typical hours: Monday to Friday, starting as early as 6:00 am and ending around 7:00 pm. Travel as needed to office locations and job sites. Compensation
Competitive wages: $72,000 to $108,000 annual salary. Final compensation is determined by factors including skills, experience, certifications, education, and location. Company & EEO
