Overview

Water/Wastewater Client Services Manager, Southeast Florida. The Water Business Line of AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented individual focused on water/wastewater infrastructure in Southeast Florida. The role combines client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of developing engineering staff, leveraging regional and national water/wastewater capabilities to expand AECOM’s Fort Lauderdale area business. The qualified applicant will be a seller/doer and will manage and collaborate with an established team of professional engineers on water, wastewater and stormwater design projects. Responsibilities

Work with senior members of the Water Business Line to seek new municipal business opportunities. Lead client-related activities. Participate in local community and industry events. Provide leadership and mentoring to local staff. Communicate project tasks between offices requiring a high level of coordination and communication. Make presentations to clients and internally to staff. Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and the public to achieve objectives. Manage technical practice and operational activities for one large or multiple small to medium offices/operating units with moderate complexity. Determine and execute the strategic direction of the offices to ensure financial profitability. Work with district/regional management to ensure financial success of offices within the district/unit. Support, oversee and coordinate engineering production activities for an operating unit. Make decisions and recommendations recognized as authoritative. Initiate and maintain contact with senior-level management; skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. Demonstrate understanding of project delivery requirements, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet goals and deliver high-quality technical excellence. Demonstrate mature judgment in anticipating and solving routine and unusual operations problems, organizing programs, and developing standards for diverse engineering activities. Supervision is essentially administrative with broad objectives and limits. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Civil or Environmental). 10 years of related experience with progressive experience as PE/PM in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure engineering design and construction. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience managing a diverse team and multiple deadlines. Demonstrated business development skills and expertise. Proven ability to negotiate, influence and manage risk. Demonstrated client management and project management experience, delivering projects on time and on budget. Experience leading/conducting business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects, and serving as project manager on project deliveries. Licensed Professional Engineer. Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in engineering. Experience in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area for water/wastewater/stormwater is highly preferred. Experience delivering projects using alternative delivery approaches is a plus. Additional Information
