The selected candidate for this full-time professional staff position will report to the Assistant Dean of Academic Excellence & Bar Success. The role involves working collaboratively within the Department and with other faculty and staff to promote student success during law school and on the bar exam. Responsibilities include teaching (both in-person and online), counseling and mentoring students, developing and updating content, creating, grading, and tracking assessments, and analyzing data. Evening and occasional weekend availability is required. Responsibilities
Counsel, teach, and mentor law students. Develop and implement course content collaboratively. Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to academic and bar success outcomes. Maintain knowledge of all aspects of the bar exam and attorney licensure. Manage records associated with the law school’s academic and bar success programs. Grade assessments and provide detailed feedback. Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Perform other duties related to academic and bar success as assigned by the Assistant Dean. Qualifications
Education/Experience
Juris Doctor required, with high academic achievement from an ABA-accredited law school. Must be admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in legal education. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, both in person and online. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canvas or similar LMS, social media, etc. Experience with data analysis, video/audio recording and editing is a plus. Physical Demands
Sitting for extended periods. Standing for teaching. Ability to lift 10-15 lbs. Salary Range
Maximum: USD $80,000/year; Minimum: USD $64,000/year.
