Responsibilities We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing activities for new product introductions (NPI), with a focus on the transfer of newly developed products into Cordis. This role will be pivotal in assessing the supply base of proposed products, identifying opportunities for cost, quality, and performance improvements, and driving sourcing strategies that ensure readiness for launch and post-launch stabilization. Supply Base Assessment & Optimization

Evaluate the supply base of proposed new products, ensuring supplier capability and compliance. Identify opportunities for cost, quality, or performance improvements within the proposed supplier base. Drive sourcing decisions that balance cost competitiveness, risk, quality, and scalability.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Cross-Functional Alignment

Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support product launch timelines and long-term supply chain sustainability. Collaborate with Category Managers to align sourcing strategy with broader category plans. Partner with R&D, Quality, and Operations to drive supplier actions needed to meet design transfer requirements. Contribute to design-for-manufacturability and design-to-cost initiatives during transfer.

Supplier Readiness & Launch Execution

Ensure suppliers are prepared to meet Cordis, FDA, and ISO 13485/BSI standards for new products. Lead supplier readiness activities to ensure on-time product launch and ramp-up. Monitor supplier performance and drive issue resolution during the stabilization phase post-launch.

Risk & Performance Management

Develop risk mitigation strategies for new supply chains, including dual sourcing and supplier development. Establish and track KPIs for supplier readiness, launch performance, and ongoing stability. Lead negotiations and contract finalization to secure favorable terms for new product supply.

Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of sourcing or procurement experience, with at least 3 years in NPI, product transfer, or supplier development in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries. Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and supplier qualification requirements. Experience in evaluating and developing supply bases for cost, quality, and performance improvements. Demonstrated success in managing complex cross-functional projects. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Professional certifications (CPSM, CSCP, PMP, or similar) preferred. Strategic mindset with ability to execute hands-on. Strong cross-functional collaborator and influencer. Skilled at balancing innovation, compliance, and cost efficiency. High accountability and ownership of results. Comfortable with domestic and international travel (up to 25%).
