Job Summary We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist, an expert in continuous improvement processes who facilitates the implementation of Howmet Business System (HBS) methods to improve throughput, productivity, cost, inventory, and delivery performance.
Job Responsibilities
Lead plant and department initiatives using CI principles, tools, methods, and techniques to achieve business goals, improved performance, and cost reduction.
Identify, assess, facilitate, design, and coach on CI methods such as daily management, problem solving, TPM/OEE, 5S, visual management, work design, and A3 plans.
Coordinate with the BU and other plants to share technology and best practices, and communicate progress and successes.
Maintain and analyze metrics of improvement projects and report on progress.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
At least 2 years of experience in results-driven roles or continuous improvement activities.
Experience in process improvement and Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen Principles.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available).
Access to export-controlled items; ability to obtain lawful access required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s in engineering or science.
Over 3 years’ experience in a CI role.
Leadership ability to drive change with diverse groups.
Knowledge of ABS, Toyota Production System, and coaching/mentoring skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or automotive industries with Lean manufacturing.
