Samsara
Overview
Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. We help improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy across industries including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing. Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team shaping a broad set of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. About the role
Samsara’s Product team brings our disruptive IoT technology to market, accelerating the adoption of sensor data to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability of fleets and other operations-focused businesses that power the global economy. As a member of the Product team, you’ll be responsible for the success of new products and features that delight customers and advance Samsara’s vision. The team’s approach to product management is rooted in a deep understanding of the customer, learning about customers’ operations, identifying meaningful problems to solve, and developing a product vision that maximizes impact. As an Associate Product Manager (APM), you’ll participate in a formal training program alongside peers as part of an APM cohort. Through this program, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing products, gain exposure to different teams across Samsara’s business, and learn from mentors who are seasoned product managers. You’ll learn how to run beta programs and launch features that have a big impact on customers, work with engineers and designers to build features end-to-end, and potentially own a roadmap for a small product area. Our APM program is rotational — you’ll spend two approximately nine-month rotations on different parts of our product, including mobile apps, web software, hardware devices, and more. Upon completion, APMs have the opportunity for formal placement into exciting PM roles across the company. The APM role is ideal for those with technical backgrounds who want to move into a career in Product but may not have prior product management experience. This role is open to candidates across the United States. However, participants will be based in our San Francisco headquarters for the duration of the program, with a relocation bonus provided to help cover moving costs. We are not currently hiring MBAs for this role and if a student is pursuing a Master’s degree, it must be part of a co-terminal program. Only students graduating in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or Cognitive Science, are eligible for this role.
