Medical City Decatur is seeking a Seasonal PRN RN for the Emergency Room. The program runs from September 21, 2025, to April 4, 2026, with a pay rate of $62 per hour plus differentials. The RN will be responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice, including promoting a safe and therapeutic environment, assessing patient pain, and performing procedures as ordered by the medical provider. Job Summary And Qualifications

The RN is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice. Important aspects of this responsibility include: Assessing patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management Performing procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) Documenting the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner Teaching patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. Other requirements include: Floating to another facility with an emergent staffing need Working four weekend shifts each 4-week schedule period Working two holiday shifts during the 32-week period Being subject to first call-off as a PRN status employee Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification Basic Cardiac Life Support certification PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support certification A valid Texas State License or compact license as a Registered Nurse TNCC and ENPC certification within 18 months of hire or transfer An Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing At least one year of experience as an RN in the Emergency Department We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
