The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department needs and state and specialty standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models. The RN acts as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and supports the organization's mission and values to enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities
Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered; document care in the patient record in a timely and thorough manner. Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to provide exceptional care. Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures; translate complex medical terminology for clear understanding. Educate on non-medical follow-up measures such as healthy lifestyle changes and prepare for future self-management. Qualifications
RN - Registered Nurse Associate Degree Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of start date Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months All required certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes Program Requirements
All seasonal RNs must work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. Floats to nearby facilities with emergent staffing needs as required within a close geography. Four weekend shifts are required per four-week schedule. During the 32-week period, two holiday shifts are required (defined by Department Manager). Seasonal staff are PRN with no guaranteed hours; benefits limited to 401(k) and retirement contributions per policy. Seasonal staff are not eligible for extra shift bonuses. Seasonal RNs have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation. Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2025–26. Shifts may vary based on department needs.
