Plainfield Veterinary Clinic is a bustling practice that offers general and urgent care services in the Plainfield, Illinois, area. We are inviting you to join us as an extern. This excellent opportunity will teach students how to practice top-notch medicine, gain valuable hands-on clinical experience, and enrich the lives of patients and clients along the way. Led by
Dr. Paul Blaso , one of the top-rated veterinarians in the area, students will gain real-life, "in the trenches" experience, gather patient information and history, perform physical exams, create treatment plans, diagnostics, and surgical & dentistry services.

Customizable 2-to-4-week program depending on student's schedule. Externship stipend (clinic year), paid housing, and lifetime subscription to Pocket Prep. Practice in a cutting-edge hospital in a picturesque location southwest of Chicago Talented & experienced operations and clinical teams to help foster a tight-knit community atmosphere, both among staff and clients Engaging, supportive, and collaborative environment.
About the Hospital
Hospital renovation/expansion plan expected in 2024 Orthopedics and Cold Laser Therapy General Surgery Power lift tables, including a dental table and in-house lab Cutting-edge ventilator, anesthesia monitoring equipment, and access to ultrasound 3 exam rooms to offer clients a variety of services, including any you may want to offer Cohesive culture with a collaborative work setting In-house Abaxis blood analyzer

In addition to office support, our highly qualified technicians is here to handle all your diagnostic, surgical, pharmaceutical, and technical needs to fully assist and support you with your appointments and procedures.
