Rate: $52/HR

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist PRN Seasonal for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.
Job Summary And Qualifications
The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
What you will do in this role:
You will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
You will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
You will assist with placement of artificial airways. You will initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
You will monitor patient for therapeutic response. You will notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
You will assist with transportation of ventilator‑dependent patients.
You will respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.
What qualifications you will need:
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(NBRC‑RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist
(RRT/RCP‑State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.
During the course of the 32‑week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).
Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call‑off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.
Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.
Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)
Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2025—26.
Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program.
Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.
