Part Time (32 hours): Friday-Monday Schedule, Days; Part Time: Weekend Schedule; Per Diem About Us High Point is excited to be growing and expanding behavioral health services in the Brockton Community for patients experiencing acute behavioral health crisis seeking services as part of expanding our inpatient psychiatric services. The High Point Short Term Assessment and Treatment (STAT) Unit will provide brief assessment, treatment initiation, and disposition planning for individuals seeking treatment for acute behavioral health needs for a period of up to 72 hours. Patients will be referred for inpatient behavioral health services by the local emergency departments, community mobile crisis services or Brockton CBHC. The STAT unit is licensed by the Department of Mental Health. Individuals hired will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals including licensed clinicians, Master’s level clinicians, certified peer specialists, patient resource navigators, mental health specialists, nursing, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, medical physicians, and psychologists. Disposition planning will include transfers to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, Adult Community Crisis Stabilization (ACCS), outpatient and community-based diversionary services. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Masters Level Clinician Requirements: Must present as courteous and professional at all times Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in a logical and clear fashion Must have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner TB screening Certification in the HPTC approved de-escalation program Strong and effective verbal, written and organizational skills Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPTC's electronic medical records Ability to provide leadership and program development within an outpatient site Knowledge of major clinical therapeutic models and behavioral health best practices Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills Masters Level Clinician Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations Participate in Treatment Team Meetings Crisis intervention and screening for patients at risk Maintain assigned caseload Providing direct care to patients - including assessments of new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments Responsible for each assigned patient's medical records; all records are to be professional, complete and thorough with entries made in a timely manner Provide direct care to the patient, including individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patients, discharge and aftercare planning, and case management of assigned patients Responsible for linking patients with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the patient and their family in accessing outpatient services when appropriate Attend all unit, facility meetings and case conferences as directed by the Clinical Director; Attend mandatory trainings Responsible for contacting the insurance company for authorization, as needed Utilize standard precautions at all times Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient's rights Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Program Director, Clinical Supervisor or Assistant Program Director Masters Level Clinician Qualifications: Master/Doctoral degree in Human Services related field such as psychology or social work required 2 years experience in behavioral health and/or inpatient psychiatric setting Master Clinicians licensed eligible encouraged to apply Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Long & short term disability Discounted auto/home and renters insurance 403b - Retirement FSA & DCA PFML Employee Assistance Program Bonuses & Referral Eligibility for free classes to become a Licensed Counselor or Recovery Coach Education days to use towards CEUs Opportunities for loan forgiveness Unmatched Leave Time (FT employees can earn up to 3 weeks in the first year)
