Senior Piping Designer - Position and Responsibilities
As a Senior Piping Designer with Middough, you will create and establish complex designs consistent with good practices, client requirements, and conformance to Codes & Standards. You will apply standard drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings for projects and provide guidance to drafters and designers to ensure adherence to Company standards. Responsibilities include: Work with discipline leads to establish budgets and ensure task deliverables are met. Coordinate work of lead designers assigned to tasks. Design equipment layouts and piping routings in CAD, complying with standards and client requirements. Ensure discipline leads have correct project standards and checklists. Maintain and update the 3D model as needed. Participate in meetings with clients as requested. Adhere to QA/QC standards. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and teams. Education, Experience, and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess: Associates Degree in drafting or design with 10+ years of experience. Hands-on experience in equipment and facility layouts, 3D piping models, orthographic drawings, isometrics, bill of materials, and piping supports. Strong understanding of industrial piping systems. Experience with 3D design software like CADWorx, Plant 3D, or Autoplant. Experience in industrial facility design, natural gas, oil & gas, or power industries. Knowledge of Earned Value project monitoring. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Organizational skills for effective project planning. Attention to detail and good communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements
While performing this role, you will: Remain stationary or sit for long periods. Walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers frequently. Use vision and focus skills regularly. Work in office conditions, with possible exposure to adverse environments at client sites.
