The actual hourly salary within this range that you will be offered will depend on geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled. Responsibilities

Where state and federal laws/regulations allow, accountable for performing day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities; ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Serves as a full-time certified pharmacy technician. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within the guidelines of authorized company policies, laws, regulations and business ethics. Coordinate selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians. Make decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination. Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law. Complete patient and physician calls under supervision of a pharmacist and support healthcare service offerings including vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law. Manage core pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in operations. Organize daily schedule of activities, allocate pharmacy hours, and ensure the pharmacy is clean, neat, orderly, and stocked with adequate supplies. Oversee pharmacy inventory management and recordkeeping; ensure compliance with business administrative activities and record requirements. Drive technology/process rollouts, engage the team around action planning, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy department equipment. Maintain security safeguards and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager on records. Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist and adhere to policies and procedures related to pharmacy errors and continuous quality improvement. Assist in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Manage community outreach and coordinate immunization clinics and community events as directed. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including decisions regarding discipline and termination. Use constructive discipline policy to ensure compliance with state and federal laws; hold technicians accountable for attendance and timeliness; foster engagement and performance improvement. Hire, onboard, train, and schedule technicians. Monitor training completion and enforce scheduling/training policies. Identify gaps in operations knowledge and support team members through hands-on training or learning modules. Ensure licensures, registrations, and certifications are active and compliant; document licensure status using Walgreens resources. Follow company policy for selection, recruitment, record retention, and training as required by law. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification and state-required certifications/registrations. Maintain and expand knowledge related to pharmacy and healthcare; pursue certifications and training as required by the company. Seek professional development with feedback and coaching. Communication

Communicate with the pharmacy team and relay messages from support centers or key emails. Participate in store/pharmacy meetings and weekly check-ins with the Store Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous Walgreens experience with exceeding expectations on last performance evaluation.
