Well-established manufacturer is seeking a
Supply Chain Manager
to lead direct and indirect reports and report to the Plant Manager. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks: Responsibilities
Evaluate, further develop and improve strategic plan of supply chain for the facility Lead, coach and oversee a direct and indirect staff of materials and logistics professionals Communicate at executive, manager and staff levels to resolve supply chain inquiries and concerns Oversee a staff focused on warehousing, scheduling, shipping and inventory Complete inventory cycle counts, monitoring and reporting Communicate with the sales team and evaluate forecasts to improve material planning process for the site Monitor and improve departmental KPIs for the supply chain team Take safety ownership of the department and warehouse Find strategic improvements to the department while problem solving day-to-day issues Operate daily with customer service focused initiatives Ensure that all administrative tracking, documentation and paperwork is complete Maximize the established ERP system functionality Oversee the departmental budget Partner with procurement to negotiate with third party suppliers Work to improve on-time delivery goals by ensuring product is on site when needed Complete additional tasks as assigned Qualifications
Requirements for the Supply Chain Manager: Bachelor's degree, ideally in a related field At least 3-5 years of similar manufacturing supply chain management experience Experience supervising others in supply chain Production planning and scheduling background Strong working knowledge of inventory systems Working knowledge of warehousing processes Experience working within ERP systems Skills preferred but NOT required: APICS or CPIM certification Power BI Why work for this organization
