We are seeking an passionate and consumer-focused
Senior Buyer
to drive
product assortment strategies
and
seasonal planning
for
footwear and apparel
categories. The ideal candidate will combine strong product knowledge with analytical expertise to ensure the right product is delivered to the right stores at the right depth. This role requires cross‑functional collaboration with merchandising, planning, allocation, and marketing teams to align assortment strategies with business goals and consumer trends.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute
seasonal assortment strategies
for footwear and apparel across multiple store locations.
Collaborate with
planning, allocation, and marketing
teams to align assortments with consumer demand and business objectives.
Analyze sales, inventory, and market data to optimize product mix, pricing, and inventory flow.
Participate in seasonal buy reviews and
in‑season trading
to influence actions that drive sales and profitability.
Manage multiple product seasons, ensuring assortment plans reflect market trends and consumer insights.
Partner with pricing teams to ensure efficient inventory turnover and achievement of retail
KPI .
Utilize
Excel
extensively for reporting, forecasting, and data analysis (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
Collaborate across genders, brands, and categories to maintain cohesive and consumer‑relevant assortments.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree
in business, merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
4+ years
of experience in footwear, apparel, or consumer product buying and merchandising.
Strong understanding of retail and digital metrics including sell‑through, turn, ASP, and UPT.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and business reporting.
Proven ability to translate strategy into action and deliver measurable results.
Excellent communication, cross‑functional collaboration, and business acumen.
Preferred Skills
Experience in footwear or apparel merchandising across outlet or multi‑store environments.
Familiarity with product creation, assortment planning, and inventory management.
Strong trend awareness and understanding of consumer behavior in retail markets.
Ability to travel up to 20% for business needs.
