Senior Buyer Our client is seeking a Senior Buyer to help drive product strategy and consumer-focused assortments within a fast-paced retail environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, product-savvy professional who can blend market trends with data-driven insights to optimize seasonal assortments and consumer engagement across multiple store formats. This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon. Senior Buyer Responsibilities Lead seasonal assortment planning and execution across designated retail channels, ensuring alignment with consumer demand and business goals. Partner with cross-functional teams including planning, allocation, store operations, visual merchandising, and marketing to deliver cohesive go-to-market strategies. Use consumer insights, sales performance metrics, and marketplace trends to influence product selections and in-season adjustments. Maintain a strategic view of product collections across gender, category, and brand to ensure balanced and compelling assortments. Participate in seasonal reviews and business analysis to track performance, identify risks or opportunities, and propose actions that drive profitable growth. Support long-term assortment strategy by incorporating both qualitative consumer feedback and quantitative sales analytics. Collaborate with global and regional partners to align seasonal direction and marketplace execution. Travel up to 20% for market visits, vendor meetings, and cross-functional planning sessions. Senior Buyer Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or product strategy within footwear, apparel, or related consumer goods. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple seasons concurrently while staying responsive to in-season dynamics. Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with retail metrics such as sell-through, inventory turn, average selling price (ASP), and units per transaction (UPT). High affinity for current trends and consumer behavior, with an interest in contributing to brand leadership in style and performance. Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across various levels and teams. Proficiency in blending consumer intuition with data-driven decision-making to guide strategic recommendations. Compensation: Up to $32/hr. (DOE)
