Short Description:
Ability to operate a PET/CT and SPECT/CT unit under NJ guidelines. Maintains necessary licensure to perform the CT portion of Nuclear Medicine exams, including X-ray license or NJDEP Limited to Fusion Imaging CT Technology license. Ensures all NM exams are acquired and processed safely and efficiently, adhering to department procedures. Maintains high standards for all studies, including general NM exams, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT imaging. Responsible for completing all radiation safety measures as per hospital NJDEP Radioactive Materials license. Performs quality control on all instrumentation as per manufacturer guidelines. Assists physicians with radioactive therapeutic treatments safely, following Radiation Safety guidelines. Proficient in IV placement for procedures. Experience Required
0-2 years of clinical training through a NM training program or college. Education Requirements
Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Nuclear Medicine. License/Certification Requirements
ARRT or NMTCB NJDEP – Nuclear Medicine NJDEP Diagnostic Radiology or NJDEP Limited to Fusion Imaging CT Technology Special Requirements
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
