Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Chicopee, MA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support students in an elementary school setting located in Chicopee, MA. This contract position covers the current school year (CSY) and requires skills specific to school-based speech-language pathology assistance.
Responsibilities
Assist certified Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing speech and language therapy plans.
Work directly with students to support communication development and improvement.
Help in screening, assessment, and data collection related to speech-language goals.
Collaborate with educators and therapists to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
Follow established protocols and confidentiality guidelines in a school environment.
Qualifications
Experience as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred.
Knowledge of speech and language development in children.
Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with educational and therapeutic documentation requirements.
Ability to follow direction from supervising Speech-Language Pathologists.
