A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Holyoke, MA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the chance to support students' communication development within a vibrant educational environment. Responsibilities
Assist licensed speech-language pathologists with therapy sessions designed to enhance students' speech and language skills. Implement treatment plans under supervision and document student progress. Collaborate with educators and staff to integrate speech goals into classroom activities. Support students individually or in small groups, promoting confidence and effective communication. Maintain accurate records and assist with organizing materials and resources. Qualifications And Desired Experience
Completion of an accredited SLPA program or relevant education and training. Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children. Strong understanding of speech and language development milestones. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate young learners. Ability to follow treatment plans and provide consistent support under the guidance of a licensed speech-language pathologist. Location
