A full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) position is open for the 2025‑2026 school year, starting in November, located in New Haven, CT at an elementary school. This contract role offers a 37.5‑hour workweek, primarily serving students with limited language abilities in self‑contained settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide speech and language services to a two‑day weekly caseload.
Collaborate closely with the district AAC/AT coordinator on the remaining three days.
Develop communication visuals and program devices effectively.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student communication development.
Required Qualifications
SLP certification with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status.
Experience supporting students with limited language abilities in school settings.
Strong understanding of AAC, including both low‑tech and high‑tech options.
Ability to develop communication visuals and program devices effectively.
Collaborative approach in working with educators, staff, and families.
No teletherapy or Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) candidates will be considered for this role.
