Pharmacists perform the day-to-day responsibilities of drug distribution, computer drug and IV order processing. They provide therapeutic intervention as needed, drug information and consultation to other professional staff and patients, maintain patient profiles, assist in cardio-pulmonary emergencies, monitor drug therapy, and assist with drug compounding. The Staff Pharmacist directs technicians, performs inventory control, and actively precepts pharmacy residents, students, technicians or interns as assigned by the supervisor. This position is a Direct Care Provider as defined in Pharmacy Policy. The essential functions listed are not intended to be exhaustive or restrictive beyond related duties to the position. Required Qualifications
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of pharmacy as determined by the CA Board of Pharmacy One year of clinical experience as a licensed pharmacist or completion of PGY1 by time of hire Current knowledge of drug references, Joint Commission requirements, and other regulatory standards Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the job Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Current BLS or ACLS upon hire CA Board of Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist licensure in good standing Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to extract pertinent information from the patient or other sources and relate it to the patient’s medical management plan Compensation and Benefits
